LaQshya- Manyata - A Public Private Parternship
FOGSI has partnered with the Public Health Department, Government of Maharashtra to launch the LaQshya-Manyata program in the state. The initiative is aimed at improving quality of private maternity care in Maharashtra by building skilled and capable teams ensuring consistent, safe and respectful care for mothers during and after childbirth. It trains healthcare staff on a set of 16 clinical and 10 facility standards, which are essential for mothers to receive quality antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care, in line with the national government’s LaQshya program and World Health Organization (WHO) standard guidelines.
FOGSI INKS AN MOU WITH NABH
The Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) and The National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH), India’s apex body for accreditation, have signed an MoU to advance their shared goal of elevating the quality of maternity services and establishing a uniform ‘One Nation One Standard’ for Maternity Service Providers (MSPs). This sectoral collaboration aims to reduce maternal mortality in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and bolster India’s healthcare systems for safer childbirth. Through this MoU, clinical standards in hospitals and nursing homes with maternal care facilities will be meticulously assessed, ensuring consistent, safe, and respectful care for mothers during and after childbirth.
FOGSI-HSSC COLLABORATION
FOGSI has announced a collaboration with the Health Sector Skill Council (HSSC), Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, for the development of a comprehensive skilling course for doctors and nurses on Maternal and Perinatal Life Support.

The Manyata initiative received the CSR Health Impact Awards 2019 under the category of CSR Health Campaign for ensuring high-quality and respectful care by helping private maternity facilities build capable and efficient teams across the states of Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Jharkhand.

Manyata’s consistent efforts to bring equitable access to quality care for women in India was awarded the prestigious ‘Excellence in Social Initiative Award’ at the – The FICCI Healthcare Awards 2021 (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry).

Manyata was recognized as the first runner-up under the Excellence in Community Based Health Solutions at the 9th NATHEALTH - Healthcare Federation of India Annual Summit held in March 2023.
AVPN CONSTELLATIONS AWARDS 2023
Manyata was honored as a laureate at the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN) Constellations Awards 2023, which applauded the initiative’s efforts in bringing together stakeholders to advance Gender Equality for women and girls in Asia.
